Johnny, a lad of 20 wandered into one of the Ochaya (teahouses) on the narrow alleyways to the sweet strum of a shamisen. He found women painted ghostly white with the most beautiful clothing he had ever seen. These were kimono, he thought and after spending his c pany with them inquired about where they were sold. A kind maiko guided him in the right direction... He purchased quite a few, not as cheap as he thought but so beautiful, kept them wrapped nicely in his knapsack to take home to his sweetheart soon...

LOS ANGELES – Bettie Page, the 1950s secretary-turned-model whose controversial photographs in skimpy attire or none at all helped set the stage for the 1960s sexual revolution, died Thursday. She was 85.

Page was placed on life support last week after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles and never regained consciousness, said her agent, Mark Roesler. He said he and Page's family agreed to remove life support. Before the heart attack, Page had been hospitalized for three weeks with pneumonia.

"She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality," Roesler said. "She is the embodiment of beauty."

Page, who was also known as Betty, attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and see-through lingerie that were quickly tacked up on walls in military barracks, garages and elsewhere, where they remained for years.

Her photos included a centerfold in the January 1955 issue of then-fledgling Playboy magazine, as well as controversial sadomasochistic poses.

So it finally happened, SL screwed with the JetDoll mainstore. Unexplainable half of the build deleted itself. I freaked. "Crap, what will I do now? Oh, lets rebuild!" So JetDoll has a new fresh face lift. The atmosphere is more warm and welcoming than cold and crippled. This week I focused more on classic styles than modern ones. So I decided to make a zoot suit for men and 2 inspired jackets for women! The mens suit is a pinstripe in black and red. It come with a prim Fedora (top hat), cuffs, collar, flexi jacket, and a painstaking 178 prim hip chain. The suit can be worn with the jacket or with the collared shirt underneath. All together, this number totals 350L :D
